TriTech Enterprise Systems supported IBM and the Michael Baker Corporation on the FEMA, Mapping On Demand (MOD) Project Team. The mission of the MOD Team was to assist FEMA (HQ and Regions) in meeting the goals of the Multi-Hazard Flood Map Modernization initiative. Specifically, the mission of the MOD Team was to help FEMA:
- Develop enabling technology to facilitate the cost-effective production, distribution and usefulness of modernized flood maps.
- Provide effective program management to ensure that the program is run efficiently and meets the mandates established by Congress for budget and schedule.
- Empower the user community to understand and accept the products developed by the Map Modernization initiative.
- Encourage and enable planners to deliver results by taking ownership of their flood mapping process and products, effectively using the standardized tools and technology developed and offered at a national level.
In addition, the MOD Team provided engineering and mapping (Flood) Hazard Data Development, Hazard Map Maintenance, Customer Care & Outreach, Technical Support Systems & Tools and provide Program Management support.
